To help you when you order
To make sure your delivery runs smoothly here are a few tips on ordering our products.
1. Please help the delivery driver find your address by telling us:
- IMPORTANT! - a contact telephone number where you can be reached by us or the FedEx driver, if necessary, on the delivery day . FedEx will NOT accept a parcel for delivery unless a contact telephone number is provided. It will NOT be used for any other purpose.
- Directions on how to find your property if there might be any difficulty in finding you.
2. Please read the following to make sure FedEx can deliver to your address and the costs involved:
- England & Wales (except Isle of Wight): deliveries are despatched via Fedex for "next-day" delivery on Tuesdays to Fridays. Delivery might be any time during the day. Delivery "by-noon" is available at extra charge of £4.35 including VAT - please call us on 0800 298 5000. All orders are despatched in a non-returnable insulated container with freezer gel packs to keep the temperature down. Please ask us about deliveries to the Isle of Wight.
- Scotland:: - We can also get next-day deliveries to many parts of southern Scotland only - PLEASE CHECK WITH US BEFORE ORDERING - but we have found that we can only get next-day deliveries made reliably if we pay an extra Fedex charge for "by 12.00 noon" delivery, which gives these deliveries some priority. We will absorb this extra cost so long as your order value (before delivery and VAT) comes to at least £25.00. Alternatively, if you don't want to order that much, you can just pay the extra "by-noon" delivery supplement of £4.35 including VAT. As it is not currently possible to do this via our website, please call 0800 298 5000 with your credit card details and we can confirm everything then.
- Northern Scotland, Offshore islands and North and South Ireland - Next-day delivery is not available, standard delivery is 2 - 3 days. Delivery charges are high - £30 to £40 depending on weight. Please contact us if you need a quote for a specific requirement.
- deliveries CAN be made on a particular day or date (Tuesday to Friday), (subject to product availability, of course) if you request this during the ordering process. You can also tell us where the package may be left if no-one is at home at the time of delivery. (For example, in front porch, in the garage, with neighbour at No... etc) Deliveries can also usually be made to a work address. BUT please note that if a parcel is left without a signature being obtained, and it goes missing, the carriers do not accept responsibility for its loss. We have very few problems with deliveries, but please bear this in mind.
- delivery is charged at £6.95 plus VAT, total £8.34, for package weight of up to 20kgs. As this charge does not cover all of the delivery and packaging costs, we also have a minimum order value of £12.00 please.
Above 20 kgs, an additional delivery charge of £3.00 per 10 kg step will be applied, e.g. over 20 kgs and up to 30 kgs will cost £9.95 (plus VAT), and so on. These additional charges are less than half of the total costs that we incur for packaging and next-day delivery.
Delivery to areas other than those specified above is not currently available. Sorry!
