Wild Rabbits & Shot
Our Wild Rabbit suppliers know that we only buy single shot or netted Rabbits and not shotgunned rabbits. If the single shot is still in the rabbits when we process it, it is pretty easy to find. We do search thoroughly, but it is impossible to give a cast-iron guarantee that there will never be any shot that we don't find. Single shot is not lead anyway, so in the very unlikely event that any should remain in a rabbit, it should just pass through your animal without problems. However, forewarned is forarmed, as they say!
Now - a few important tips & comments about delivery.
- England & Wales: deliveries are via Fedex on a "next-day" basis, i.e can be any time during the morning or afternoon, Tuesday to Friday only. All orders are despatched in an insulated container with freezer gel packs to keep the temperature down.
- Scotland:: - We can also get next-day deliveries to many parts of southern Scotland only - best to check with us before ordering - but we have found that we can only get deliveries made reliably if we pay an extra Fedex charge for "by 12.00 noon" delivery, which gives these deliveries some priority. We will absorb this extra cost so long as your order value (before delivery and VAT) comes to at least £25.00.
- Northern Ireland - Next-day delivery is not available and delivery charges are too high for all except large orders (over £75.00). Please contact us for more information.
- deliveries can be made on a particular day or date (Tuesday to Friday), if you request this during the ordering process. You can also say where the package may be left if no-one is at home at the time of delivery. (For example, in front porch, in the garage, with neighbour at No... etc) Deliveries can also usually be made to a work address. BUT please note that if a parcel is left without a signature being obtained, and it goes missing, the carriers do not accept responsibility for its loss. We have very few problems with deliveries, but please bear this in mind.
- delivery is charged at £6.95 plus VAT, total £8.17, for package weight of up to 20kgs. As this charge does not cover all of the delivery and packaging costs, we also have a minimum order value of £12.00 please.
Above 20 kgs, an additional delivery charge of £3.00 per 10 kg step will be applied, e.g. over 20 kgs and up to 30 kgs will cost £9.95 (plus VAT), and so on. These additional charges are less than half of the total costs that we incur for packaging and next-day delivery.
